    hat I Do

Welcome to Livin Arts!  Not only is this site for show casing my creations, but to also show the variety
of items I do create, and the various mediums I use.  I do lots of crafting that include creating cards for all
occasions, some calligraphy and a little sewing.

I wrote and illustrated two books, published through Publish America (now Star Publishing).

The Mighty Beasts (2010) and The Monkey And The Frog (2011), pictured top right.  The first show cases
some familiar prehistoric beasts, and some not so familiar creatures.  The other is about a frog who wanders
from his home, near a pond.

I have completed many portraits of family members and friends, as well as some of my favorite Hollywood
stars.  The mediums I use are colored pencils, pastels, oils and acrylic paint and screen printing.  I carve wood
and have sculpted with clay.  I reproduced black and white pictures into color, with markers, and have done
characatures and line art for area businesses.

I turn 1:6 scale figures (ie: 12 inch action figures/dolls) into celebrities, such as Usher, Buddy Holly pictured
below, and am working on an Amelia Earhart, Jimi Hendrix and Bass Reeves figures.  Most accessories for the
figures are hand made and detailed by hand, the clothing are created and sewn by myself, or modified from
existing 1:6 scale clothes.  Feel free to e-mail me regarding questions you may have or to request a project you
          would
like to have realized.
  Welcome to

A One of a kind hand
       made figure and box.

       Left is the before and
       (right) after pictures of
       a figure, I turned into
       Rock 'n' Roll legend
       Buddy Holly!

       I carved the head down,
       (left) to the finished
       product (right).  I used a
       20th Century body to
       complete the figure, the
       Apllo 13 body being too
       bulky for the slim figure
       of Buddy Holly.

       Below are detailed
       images of package
       back and his guitar, a
       Fender Stratocaster,
       I carved from balsa
       wood. I used different
       sized threads for the
       strings!
